Nortra provides personal tax, corporate tax, bookkeeping and related accounting support for individuals and small businesses.

Services are primarily provided remotely, allowing Nortra to work with clients across Canada where appropriate.

Because we offer services remotely, we do not have they typical overhead assocaited with running an office. We keep costs low to offer lower prices, but we do not sacrifice quality.

The documents required depend on your circumstances. Common items include income slips (such as a T4), investment slips (such as a T3, T5, etc.), tuition receipts, medical expenses, donation receipts, and other information relating to deductions or tax credits. We will review your request and let you know what documents are required for your circumstances.

We provide instructions for submitting the information and documents required for your engagement. We use secure services that are simple and convenient for you.

At Nortra services are provided by trained accountants with a formal education in Canada. Most employees have an accounting degree, others have college diplomas, or are accounting students who perform work under the supervision of accountants. We are always happy to discuss qualifications when completing any work.

Most bookkeeping services are offered on a monthly basis. Specific circumstances may allow for less frequent service, such as bi-monthly, quarterly or even annually. We will review your specific circumstances and make a recommendation.

Bookkeeping services include monthly and annual close procedures, financial statements and other reports by request. When services are provided on a monthly basis, the fee also include a Quickbooks license and a discount on the tax return filing.
